Standing peacefully in its own garden, it is just 2 miles from the delightful market town of Barnard Castle, home to The Bowes Museum, one of the most impressive and interesting museums in the country. Golf, riding, tennis and fishing (on the River Tees) are available locally. Excellent choice of pubs/restaurants in Barnard Castle and surrounding villages. Historic Richmond 14 miles.
